All of us have a weakness. Whether it's an addiction or some other destructive behavior, the brokenness of our past creeps in and gets us to believe lies. These lies make us want to give up or give in to destructive behavior.
Take addiction as an example. No one sets out to freight train his or her life in substance abuse. Yet once the cycle starts, the sickness in our minds takes over and we go against all logic to feed the cravings. The lie that we're tempted to believe then becomes, "I'm not worthy of saving" or "I can't change so what's the use" or "I'm too far gone to get help" or "No one cares and I don't have anyone to reach out to" and on and on the lies go.
BUT, healing from the sickness of one's mind in addiction is possible! It truly starts by reaching out for help!
Choosing to reach out beyond your situation for help.
No Excuses. Instead we need to go against the grain of what we feel and seek recovery help.
